Welcome to Showers' Daycare!

 

Showers' Daycare has two locations. Our first location is in a quiet, country setting located in Fredericksburg. The second location is in an old doctor's office located on the main street in Jonestown. We have had a daycare business for 27 years. We try to provide a home-style atmosphere to the children in our care. The children receive genuine love and respect, along with an emphasis on age appropriate education and Kindergarten readiness.

 

Standard Operating Procedures

Hours of operation: (Fredericksburg) Monday thru Friday 5:30am - 5:30pm 

                                  (Jonestown) Monday thru Friday 6:00am - 6:00pm

 

Daily Schedule:

7:00am - 8:00am          Breakfast & Clean Up

8:00am - 8:30am          Morning Circle Time

8:30am - 9:00am          Fine Motor - Basic Skills - Writing Utensils

9:00am - 9:30am          AM Snack - Potty, diapers and wash hands

10:00am - 10:30am      Unit lesson - centers (manipulative: puzzles, blocks,

                                     legos, Mr. Potato Head, play-doh, color, draw, paint, cut
                                     with scissors and more.

10:30am - 11:00am      Outside play: (weather permitting) Swing, slide, climb,
                                     sand box, bubbles, sidewalk chalk and water play. Art

                                     or lab if weather is an issue GROSS MOTOR

11:00am - 11:30am      Put away outside toys and wash up

11:30am - 12:00pm      LUNCH - potty, diapers, wash hands, lay out nap mats

12:30pm - 2:30pm        Begin quiet time with soothing music, NAPTIME: nap or

                                     read quietly on nap mat

2:30pm - 3:00pm          Potty, diapers, wash hands, clean up nap mats

3:00pm - 3:30pm          PM snack, clean up

3:30pm - 4:00pm          PM Literature circle

4:00pm - 4:30pm          Potty, diapers, wash hands, put away toys and pack 

                                     bags for home
