Spanking or any other form of physical punishment is prohibited. Discipline shall not be associated with food, rest or toileting. Children shall not be subjected to discipline that is severe, humiliating or frightening. The goal of discipline is to help children see the sense in acting a certain way. This is a time consuming task and it is important we remain realistic in the expectation if the behavior of each child. The child's development age and stage must be taken into consideration.

 

Showers' Daycare has facility rules to ensure safety, comfort and happiness for all. We like using positive discipline and guidance based on the individual needs and development. When needed redirection and brief supervised "time-outs" will be used. The child will remain at the provider's side, seated on a chair (one minute for each year of age) or privileges will be removed.

 

Showers' Daycare will let you know if problems arise. If there are any problesm that concern you as a parent or the center, please discuss them with us openly and honestly. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

 

Facility Rules:

• No running in the facility

• No "outside voices" in the facility

• No throwing of objects in the facility

• No eating away from the table

• No climbing, standing or jumping on the furniture

• No biting, hitting, pushing, kicking, spitting, pulling hair, etc.

• No hurtful name-calling or offensive language

• No leaving the facility without a parent

• Be respectful of others and their property
